Description
Speed Dating is an organised social activity in which people seeking connections have a series of short conversations with potential partners in order to determine whether there is mutual interest. Speed dating is coordinated within a limited time period of direct conversation with the aim of determining compatibility.
We have 10 ladies and 10 gents. Each of them gets a number badge from 1 to 10 and they wear it on their chest or any other visible area of their choice. They are each given score cards that they also write that same badge number on. The ladies are initially seated at 10 tables with one lady at each table.
The gents then come in, and one gent sits at a table with one lady. They then begin a speed date that lasts 4 minutes. After every 4 minutes, the gents move to the next table. This continues until every person has been on a date with every other person that would have attended, granted they arrived on time.
During these dates, attendees write on their score card, the badge number of the people they may have liked. At the end of the night, we take all of these scorecards and match the people that would have liked each other.
On the next day, we let everyone know who their matches were and provide them their contact details, they can take it from there.
